Color plate

Window scheme

The windows scheme consists of an area outside left and outside right with different colors. Each of the outside areas contains an inside area. Inside are left and right are filled with the same color. If the colors outside left and inside right as well as outside right and inside left seem to be identical to the humen observer, all 3 colors are on one straight line in the homogenous color space and the inner color is in the middle of the outer colors. Change the 3 colors using the sliders below the window scheme.

Task: The color plate is initially filled unevenly. Verify the equidistant spacing of the colors for the three white-marked areas within the plate. Subsequently, mark other areas that you wish to adjust using the window scheme. Continue this process until you have ensured both the equidistant spacing and the linear alignment of the colors along all straight lines within the plate.

Procedure: To select other areas, first click on the area in the color plate on the left whose color you want to adjust with the left outer area of the window scheme. Then click on the area whose color you want to adjust with the right outer area of the window scheme. The area for the inner areas of the window scheme is automatically determined and is located midway between the other two areas.
